Six enthusiastic representatives from France joined forces with youth from across Europe for the "Eco YOUTH+Me" youth exchange in the historic city of Budapest, Hungary between 18-25 February 2025. The project dived deep into the most pressing challenge of our generation: Environmental Sustainability.

The Mission: Beyond the Classroom

The project moved away from traditional lectures, utilizing non-formal learning methods to transform complex ecological data into actionable knowledge. By engaging in interactive workshops and group simulations, our participants explored the root causes of environmental pollution and more importantly, how these factors ripple through our daily lives.

Connecting with the Community

A standout moment of the project was the visit to a local high school in Budapest. Our participants didn't just observe, they led discussions with local students, comparing environmental challenges in France versus Hungary. This grassroots exchange bridged the gap between international policy and local action, proving that ecological concerns have no borders.

🎯 Key Learning Objectives Achieved

Through the diverse activities outlined in the project agenda, participants reached several critical milestones in their personal and professional development:

Environmental Literacy: Participants gained a comprehensive understanding of different pollution types (air, water, and soil) and identified the industrial and domestic factors driving climate change.

Intercultural Problem Solving: Working in international teams allowed participants to brainstorm sustainability solutions that respect different socio-economic backgrounds.

Youth Advocacy & Communication: By visiting the local high school, participants honed their ability to communicate complex ecological issues to their peers, fostering a sense of "Youth Work" leadership.

Sustainable Habits: The project successfully identified practical, daily changes, such as waste reduction and mindful consumption, that participants can implement immediately in their home countries.

Critical Thinking: Through debates on the "Eco YOUTH+Me" themes, participants learned to analyze the tension between economic growth and environmental preservation.

🌍 A Greener Future

As our French team returned from Budapest, they bring back more than just memories; they brought a toolkit for ecological activism. The "Eco YOUTH+Me" project has proven that when youth are given the right tools and a platform to speak, they don't just learn about the future, they start building it.
