The second chapter of our "Invisible Strings" journey has come to a close! After an enlightening start in Azerbaijan, our team traveled to the serene, lakeside town of Trakai, Lithuania, for the week of 4-11 March, 2025. While the first mobility focused on discovering our inner landscape, this second phase was all about Empowerment, learning how to take those invisible strings of emotion and weave them into a stronger, more resilient version of ourselves.

Strengthening the "Mental Muscle" in an Uncertain World

For the youth of the 21st century, the ability to pivot and maintain emotional stability is not just an advantage, it is a necessity. We live in an era of rapid change, where social isolation and performance pressure are at an all-time high. This second mobility in Lithuania provided a vital space for young people to transition from "understanding" mental health to "practicing" it in a community setting. By mastering physical and cognitive tools together, participants learned that resilience is a shared resource. In a digital world that often feels shallow, these deep, face-to-face connections act as the "invisible strings" that prevent us from falling when life becomes difficult.

Advanced Practices: The Trakai Curriculum

The Lithuanian agenda took our mindfulness practices to a deeper, more physical level, focusing on the powerful connection between a calm body and a focused mind:

  • Diverse Physical Exploration: Our French group explored specialized movement techniques, including Kundalini Yoga, which focuses on awakening energy through breath and posture. We also engaged in Group Yoga and Chair Stretches, proving that mindfulness can be integrated into any environment, even a busy office or classroom.

  • Emotional Diagnostic Tools: Participants took part in Emotional Health Quizzes and psychological self-assessments. These weren't just tests; they were mirrors that helped the youth identify their specific "stress triggers" and find their unique center of gravity.

  • Vulnerability as Strength: Through "Group Reflections" and deep, structured conversations, the participants practiced the art of being open. We learned that sharing our struggles doesn't make us weak, it builds a bridge of trust that supports the entire group.

  • Creative Journaling & Laughter: We continued our habit of Daily Journaling, but balanced the deep work with joy. Between cultural quizzes and group games, we reminded ourselves that laughter is one of the most effective tools for mental release.

From Reflection to Leadership

As the project neared its end, the focus shifted toward the future. Every morning began with Morning Meditations, setting a peaceful tone for a day of hard work. The participants didn't just learn for themselves; they spent the final sessions designing "Our Own Projects." Working in national groups, our French team brainstormed ways to disseminate this knowledge with their circles, ensuring that the "invisible strings" we found in Trakai reach even more young people back home.

Bridging the Gap: Dialogue with the Trakai Municipality

A pivotal moment of our time in Lithuania was the opportunity to step outside the workshop room and enter the doors of the Trakai Municipality. We believe that mental health is not just a personal responsibility, but a civic one. During our visit, we engaged in a direct dialogue with local government representatives and youth policy coordinators to discuss the concrete steps being taken to support the well-being of young people in the region. We explored how the municipality funds youth centers, provides accessible counseling, and integrates mental health awareness into local community projects. For our participants, this was a masterclass in civic advocacy, it showed them how to communicate with decision-makers and what kind of institutional support they should look for and demand within their own local governments.

A Heartfelt Farewell

The project concluded with a powerful farewell ceremony by the Trakai lakes. We leave Lithuania more connected to ourselves, to each other, and to the invisible threads of empathy that cross every border in Europe. The journey of "Becoming" continues, and our participants return as empowered leaders ready to champion mental health and well-being.
